Legendary Wölzertal goes international - Wettbewerbssieg auf europäischer Ebene!
Die Landjugend Österreich hat mit den Projekten „Sagenhaftes Wölzertal“ der Landjugend Oberwölz und „Umwelt – top die Wette gilt! der Landjugend Oberösterreich zwei Projekte beim Projektwettbewerb des Europäischen Landjugendverbands der Rural Youth Europe eingereicht.
Nun wurden die Sieger auf der Homepage veröffentlicht and:

Nach Gold beim Best Of und dem LJ Award, gewinnt nun die OG Oberwölz auch bei diesem Europäischen Projektwettbewerb.
Hier ein Ausschnitt aus dem Bericht von der Homepage von Rural Youth Europe:
"Youth Project of the Year 2009: “Legendary Wölzertal” by Rural Youth Austria The Best Practise Competition 2009 by RYEurope was this year won by Rural Youth Austria's project “Sagenhaftes Wölzertal” (“Legendary Wölzertal”). The project aimed for the preservation of regional cultural assets, which would easily get lost over time, and the project was built around the legends of the Wölzertal region.
The project “Sagenhaftes Wölzertal” (“Legendary Wölzertal”) started in August 2007 and ended in December 2009. The project aimed for the preservation of regional cultural assets and the objective was to permit that the locals could experience regional assets. Further aims were to provide an attraction for the local people as well as for tourists.
The project team collected 183 legends of their region. Then they selected the 99 best legends and created the book “99 Sagen aus dem Wölzertal” (“99 legends from the Wölzertal”) as well as an audio CD including the legends. Furthermore, they tried to illustrate the legends at the original places where they were said to have taken place, by creating a legend path. For this purpose they prepared presentation boards, wooden sculptures, a lindworm playground and a lot more. The members had to work 570 hours in planning the project and more than 2,700 hours in the realization of it. The project ended with the opening ceremony on 30th August 2009.
The Best Practise Competition of Rural Youth Europe has been set up for the Rural Youth Europe Member Organisations to encourage exchange of project ideas, to increase the knowledge of each others’ activities and particularly to gain inspiration and to learn from other organisations.
The prize is a Youth Trophy and participation of 2 winning team members to the Rally 2010 in Sweden The judging panel will be made up of the RYEurope board and Secretary General. The top 5 youth projects will be presented in the spring edition of Rural Youth INFO magazine to inspire our members! The prize will be presented at the Rally 2010 by the Rural Youth Europe Chairperson." Kommentar schreiben
